Being a pioneer has its risks, yet being the first and best in something is worthy of considerable merit. Ten years have passed since Àngels, the founder of jcApotecari, decided to convert the old warehouse she ran for the family pharmacy into a boutique for these cosmetic products, made using pharmaceuticals, which are one-off, special, distinct and desirable. A range of cosmetic brands launched in Barcelona. The majority of these unknown to a public more familiar with multinational products than small creations made with impeccable detailing. This consumer base, which started in and around the neighbourhood of Sarrià in Barcelona, expanded around the city, and when the brand launched a digital platform, the company became a global boutique, offering expertise and advice to everyone.
The new identity is celebrating these ten years in the business. And they are celebrating the milestone with the simplicity that comes with age, with the classic approach that stems from acclaim, and the peace of mind from having a solid base. Àngels, architect by trade, has given us a brand that is both rational and passionate in equal measure, with a graphic image that is a direct solution with visual, typographic and coherent conviction.
